Set

Set 1

Since I'm not going for a realistic look for my first set, I used mostly lambert with image map or ramp. Here's a few closeups of my first set.

Ramp attribute for chair shader

Set 2

For the second set, I scanned in actual colour textured paper and used them as image map and also bump mapping.  Some of the
image map were created in photoshop using the filters.

Some of the coloured texture were converted into bump mapping

Map

The map was a bit tricky.  First I modelled out the bamboo scroll map, then I also modelled out all the graphics on the map itself and place them over the bamboo map. Then I animated the graphics in Maya according voice over.

A plane with the background image map is created
and the sequence is animated
accordingly to the voice over
The graphics together with the backgound is
exported as imaged sequence and
mapped onto the bamboo scroll
Here's another sequence of the map
