Since I'm not going
for a realistic look for my first set, I used mostly lambert with image
map or ramp. Here's a few closeups of my first set.

For the second set, I scanned in actual colour
textured paper and used them as image map and also bump mapping. Some
of the
image map were created in photoshop using the filters.
The map was a bit tricky. First I modelled
out the bamboo scroll map, then I also modelled out all the graphics on
the map itself and place them over the bamboo map. Then I animated the graphics
in Maya according voice over.
